2 Days, 4 Shows, Sore Toes - Part 2: Decorex (posted 9th October 2015)
A few weeks ago Decorex was again held at Syon Park in Brentford. This was the second show I visited during the week and it was impressive. Being bigger than last year there was more to see and experience, which is always great!
Our designers were also enamoured by the show and here are Gabs’ favourite finds:
Timorous Beasties Omni Drip wallpaper panels: “they’re just exquisite. I’m a huge fan of these talented, irreverent Glasgow boys”
“From the Vessel Gallery display I really loved this awesome chandelier, along with the table lamp and oversized vases, Simon Moore’s Balustrade collection. Black blown glass – just gorgeous.”
"Also gorgeous and quirky is the display cupboard from Boca do Lobo called Palantino. It's contemporary with a distinctly Victorian feel."
The stands were manned by friendly staff who invited questions and were happy for me to snap away! So here are a some of the pics of the products featuring at Decorex 2015 that caught my eye!
There were some wonderful light collections:
Not to mention all of the beautiful furniture collections and accessories:
Harlequin's dining table experience
These beautifully hand-carved pieces are then hand gilted by Ossowski, who, in association with Robert Adam Mirrors were tasked with restoring and bringing back to life the mirrors in the Sir John Soane’s Museum
I continued my search for creations and designs featuring Dulux’s colour of the year for 2016. And while there were a few displays incorporating Cherished Gold, such as Luxeform’s rug, perhaps we’ll see more of the colour next year…
What did you enjoy at Decorex?
Have a great weekend,
