A Sneaky Peak At Dollar Bay! (posted 20th May 2016)

This week we’re rather excited – a project that we’ve been working on for the past few years has just been launched (yesterday) and it’s lovely! We’re referring to Mount Anvil’s Dollar Bay on the Isle of Dogs in London.

Overlooking the South Dock the apartments are, to be frank, rather amazing! It was a project that we’ve been excited about from the beginning and we’ll be honest, of course we’re slightly biased. We’ve worked on both the specification (spec) and interior design for the show home and marketing suite. We’ve also had involvement in the design for the CGIs, so this project really has got the full Suna Interior Design stamp of approval!

The brief was first and foremost to make the most of the outstanding views and to really make them shine! Then to enable the interiors to provide an excellent backdrop for this. So for the spec this translated into a clean, soft and muted palette of whites and soft greys. While the interiors in the marketing suite and show home are plush, sumptuous and contemporary and have incorporated graphic wallpapers with an angled, linear quality that repeats the lines of the architecture (including specified elements internally such as the tiling). This is a discerning, dynamic, unique and trend-setting development.

And we can't wait to show you some sneaky pics taken by us during the install, professional ones to come! So here we go:

The marketing suite is located in a cabin that also overlooks the South Dock. As it's the 'introduction' to the development it was very important that it sets the tone (we quite like this tone!)

Then we move on to the super stylish two bedroom apartment:

The geometric wallpaper from the entrance hall runs through into the stylish living room.

The winter garden is just a fabulous space! These photos don't do it justice!

The second bedroom is sophisticated and there are also some rather lovely works of art, commissioned by Suna Interior Design from artist Steve Humble specifically for this project!

The master bedroom embodies contemporary style. It's confident, bespoke... and I'd rather like it for my bedroom!

Have a lovely weekend,
