Designer TV (posted 20th November 2015)
These days TV’s are getting bigger, they curve and companies are striving to make a bigger and better version. They’ve become so large and imposing that they command the attention of a room. But what if you don’t want the main feature in your living room to be a television?
The solution has been invented by the Bouroullec brothers who teamed up with Samsung to create the Serif! Their thought process was to try “to make it disappear, we decided to make it into a piece of furniture, like a chair – something that you can look at in the round” said Ronan Bouroullec. This TV even automatically pixilates the picture when you ‘pull the curtain to hide the adverts’, creating an abstract, gently moving image.
This television has been designed to enhance the space that it so well integrates into. It is a piece of furniture that will enrich a room.
Potentially something for the black Friday list?
