Discovering LDF 17 at 100% Design (posted 22nd September 2017)
Every year during London Design Festival, 100% Design delivers a great overview of interiors, kitchens and bathrooms, emerging brands and work place designs along with the design and build element. So, in today’s blog we’re having a look at some of our finds from 100% Design this year! We’ll be chatting to some of these designers in future blogs too, but we’re delighted by what we’ve found and wanted to give you a peak into what the show holds (it’s still on, until tomorrow, at Olympia in London).
MacMaster: specialists in designing and producing timber based lighting and furniture. With every piece being handmade in rural Worcestershire, England, the views from the workshop are as eye-catching as their designs!
Joined + Jointed: a furniture design and artisans collective, all creating original, exclusive and contemporary pieces of furniture. The designers come from the UK, USA, Denmark and China, all brought together by Samuel Chen.
Object Studio: based in East London, their pieces are manufactured using a combination of traditional and cutting-edge production techniques.
The New English: reflecting the lives we live today through unusual handcrafted collectable ceramics. Based in Stoke-on-Trent this company uses traditional skills, materials and craftmanship to create works that are creative with a sense of humour and are slightly out of the box.
Next week we’ll take a look at what we found at Focus 17. In the mean time, have a great weekend.
