Farrow & Ball Colours for 2017 (posted 3rd February 2017)
Farrow & Ball have announced the colours that they predict will be on-trend for 2017. The four colours are Radicchio, Studio Green, Hay and All White. F&B describe them as “encapsulating both dramatic, vivid hues and more understated, subtle tones. The colours signal a readiness to embrace definite colour within interiors as we become more confident in our decorating choices. These colours have an enduring appeal that remains comfortingly familiar despite being used in surprising combinations.
Radicchio – confidently energising. “Radicchio takes its name from the distinctive colour of Italian chicory.”
Studio Green – magically nuanced. “Studio Green is the colour used on the exterior of the original studio at Farrow & Ball where many of the very first paints were mixed. It is usually best used outside where it magically appears to be much more green than on the colour card.”
Hay – modest and established. “Hay is not a hot sunny yellow, like the crop from which it takes its name.”
All White – soft and sympathetic. “All White is exactly what it says! It unusually contains no other pigment except white and creates the softest most sympathetic white with none of the uncomfortable cold blue feeling of a brilliant white.”
Have a great weekend,
