Paris Designed (posted 31st January 2014)
This week our design team woke early to catch the Eurostar over to Paris to attend the Maison d’Objet exhibition. Billed as a “cutting-edge platform that is in line with the developments in the market” Gabs, Elle, Sharon and Louisa spent many dedicated hours exploring the latest and the greatest.
Some of the outstanding designs included: fantastic lighting, along with exquisite wallpapers, clever and witty designs… plenty to garner inspiration from.
Fabulous wall tiles (we especially love them for their abbreviation of our name!)
Oversized ‘Pringle’ shaped lighting made from flexible materials.
And plenty more illuminating ideas:
Plenty of objects to admire:
Canvass Chair by Inner Most – This is a flat canvass chair that can be sat on and moulds into a soft seat.
Upcycled furniture made from heavy duty machine parts
Other highlights of the trip include traveling to the exhibition, in trains that have a distinct Versaille theme… perhaps something for Network Rail to consider?:
And of course stylish knitwear for the trendy pet (no matter the country):
Plenty to keep our designers creating Suna Interior Designs award winning designs!
