Tom Faulkner's New Range (posted 23rd September 2016)
Several members of the Suna Interior Design team spent some wonderful hours perusing the isles of Decorex this week. One of the stands we ogled belonged to Tom Faulkner, and was filled with beautiful items of furniture, including eight new designs. So rather excitingly, here they are:
The Grace side table has "a wonderful mix of playfulness and elegance. The organically shaped tops, inspired by lily pads, are cut from marble, bronze or steel, and sit on long, elegant stems."
The Odessa cabinet is "elegant and perfectly proportioned with applied decoration of sharp, tapered lines. Some intersect, some don't, but all the angles and proportions all work perfectly together."
The Balzac coffee table "reflects Tom's constant intrigue with geometric and sculptural forms and the strength of sheet metal. Made from sheets of patinated steel with a contrasting bronze top, these tables look as sharp as quartz."
The Phoenix dining table was "inspired by the sharp lines and refined elegance of 1960's Italian metal and glass furniture."
The Kite chair is "light and elegant, and cocoons the sitter around a cut out panelled back."
The Berlin easy chair has been reimagined as a "smart, upright, leather upholstered dining chair".
The Exe chair has been designed to accompany the Exe dining table.
The Avalon dining table is "made of opti-clear glass balanced on two elegant triangular bases. The bases are made from bronze with a deep bottle green patination."
Isn't that gorgeous!
Which is your favourite piece?
Have a great weekend,
