Wallpaper Week (posted 6th October 2017)
This week is Wallpaper Week, so we’ve asked some of the Suna Interior Design team to tell us what their dream wallpapers are and which have been their favourite wallpapers from projects we’ve installed. Get ready for a visual-Friday-feast of captivating wallpapers!
Rebecca – Co-Director & Interior Designer:
“I love the opulence, elegance and decadence of this paper, especially in conjunction with these dark tones and bright accents. Just lush!”
A Vase of Flowers by Jan Davidsz de Heem, available from Surface View
“At the opposite end of the style spectrum I adore the tin tile wallpaper that we used in this design in Maida Hill, London. A touch of chic industrial in an eclectic scheme.”
Leonnie – Interior Designer:
“I love the depth in colours of the Acajou wallpaper by Casamance. It is a stunning backdrop for a feature wall and will one-day feature in my tropical beach house!”
“When it comes to projects that we’ve installed I have a couple of favourites, Nuvolette from Cole & Son has been used to create a moody feature wall in this bedroom at Maple Grove in South London:”
“And Gryning Purple by Sandberg Wallpaper, used in the entrance hall at Packington Square in Islington:”
Victoria – Interior Designer:
“De Gournay! If I had unlimited money, that’s where I would go! So much detail goes into the work, they are hand painted by artists which I think is just fab!”
LtR: 'Fishes' design in pearl design colour on tarnished silver gilded paper with désgargenter pearlescent antiquing & 'Custom Deco Panes' in standard design colours on brushed gold gilded paper.
Sarah – Interior Designer:
“At the moment my favourite wallpaper is the custom designed wallpaper in collaboration with Kate Moss for de Gournay- Anemones in Light. Super beautiful and has a fashion illustration touch in the way the flowers are so long stemmed and elegant.”
I also really love two wallpapers from a recent project in Kent. The Papiro in Ink looks stunning over the bed and the Peony from Sandberg comes as a large panel an looks like a beautiful flower drawing on your wall.
Sharon – Lead Interior Designer:
“Seen over a large space this Channels Wallpaper by Kelly Wearstler has got a slight punk’d up deco feel (is that a thing??) which works so well with current trends.”
“And I saw this at Decorex on the Thibaut stand (Piedmont) and it looked stunning!”
Have a wonderful, wallpapered weekend,
