Week 3: What a difference a week makes (posted 8th March 2013)
After a week away, I popped into our new offices this morning and as I ducked under the door I was amazed at what can be achieved in a week. The most notable change is the wall that demarcates the warehouse and studio space - there are now two distinguishable working areas.
From a build point-of-view, the kitchen, toilets, meeting room and studio have been wired and the outer sockets are in. The kitchen and bathroom are ready for the plumbers to come in and work their magic... The first fix is nearing completion.
On the warehouse side of the build, the two storerooms are in the process of being furnished with shelving. While in the actual warehouse the remainder of the partition wall is being hung.
On the office side, the scale of the partition wall is tangible and rather marvellous - a blank canvas, for the moment. The meeting room walls are in the process of completion and the studio, with windows on two walls is light, spacious and has an astonishingly creative feel to it already.
The renovation is firing on all cylinders, with everything going smoothly and according to plan.
