CLERKENWELL DESIGN WEEK 2022

It was Clerkenwell design week last month and we sent some of our designers to bring back news of their favourite finds from the show. Here’s our pick of the crop!

It can be a jam-packed week, fuelled with frequent stops at the bars and cafes along the way!
”There are over 400 events that take place across the festival, plus 150+ resident showrooms and 10 exhibition venues to explore.
Visitors listen in on topical talks at Conversations at Clerkenwell and weave their way around EC1 as the cobbles of Clerkenwell come alive with street sculptures,
artistic installations and much more.”

“Stunning sanitaryware from Gessi!”
Ella Bartron, Interior Designer

“Gessi’s sister company sister Florim were showcasing some incredible porcelain tiles. Some even looked like wallpaper, which is such a striking feature in a shower.”
Ella Bartron, Interior Designer

“And I loved this textile artist called Rachna Garodia – I thought this was beautiful, reminiscent of English countryside. She even intertwined pieces of wheat!”
Ella Bartron, Interior Designer

“It was so nice to be back in the creative hub of Clerkenwell! Kirkby had some beautiful fabrics which were displayed really nicely ready for us to pick and choose for some exciting upcoming projects.”
Ellen Leedham, Lead Designer for Show Homes

“I love the way Holmes Bespoke displayed samples of their rugs, a delicious mix of pattern and texture.”
Ella Bartron, Interior Designer

Arte's wallpapers were delightful, so many lovely textures which we couldn't help but touch!”
Ellen Leedham, Lead Designer for Show Homes

“Although I couldn’t go in person this year, there was so much coverage online and on Instagram it was a good second best! I loved the products produced by Revive Innovation, recycling obsolete CDs into a material that could be used for a variety of purposes.”
Rebecca Hunt, Owner and Director

“There were some great things on offer this year at Clarkenwell and it was a lovely chance to see them situated amongst some glorious architecture. A firm favourite were the wingback teddy chairs!”
Freya Patterson, Interior Designer

And another vote for Arte.. “They had this beautiful 3D wallcovering from the Moooi Wallcovering collection. The collection is inspired by extinct animals and each design is inspired by the characteristics of one animal. All the animals chosen are remembered for their kindness and love for life.”
Letty Walton, Senior Designer
