Designer’s Day Out to London Design Fair and Focus/23

It’s always fantastic to get out of the studio, and out to design fairs to meet some amazing new suppliers. So thats is exactly what we did last week.
Pounding the streets of London, we visited the London Design Fair and Focus International Design and Decoration Show.
Fuelled by coffee and enthusiasm we saw over 120+ suppliers, with everything from self-watering plant pots, to fabulous rugs and lights.

Here are just a few of our favourite finds…

Artifact lighting - https://www.artifact-lighting.com/

The Artifact team make gorgeous plaster lights and shades. They’re based in Poole and everything is handmade using natural, sustainable materials in their workshop.

Askia furniture - https://askiafurniture.ro/ro/

Askia make cleverly designed office pods, and other office furniture. With so many finishes and sizes, they are perfect for any space.

Studijo Wallart -  https://studijo.co/en

Founded by two female artists, these wallpaper murals are their work painted digitally and blow up to be wallpaper.

‘Studio wallpaper is primarily characterized by authenticity and timeless art.
Each wallpaper is carefully designed and painted by hand, giving every space a touch of art.’

Haines collectionhttps://hainescollection.co.uk/

Looking to reduce and reuse fabrics, Haines creats a marketplace to find suprplus fabrics. A super sustainable way of reusing and reducing waste.

‘award-winning direct-to-consumer platform selling surplus interiors stock that would otherwise go to waste. It sources and salvages designer fabrics and home accessories, ready to be rehomed and repurposed by design lovers.’

Rapture and Wright - https://raptureandwright.co.uk/

Fabrics that are printed by hand in the UK.

Rapture and Wright use all biodegradable packaging, print in the UK, and have a new ecological print waste treatment system which is designed specifically to break down our print waste within the natural environment, through a series of living ponds, how great is that?

Nichola Taylorson - https://nicholataylorson.com/

Their fabulous fabrics and wallpaper are all hand painted in India, some with gorgeous hand embroidery detail.

We thought these might be great for kids’ rooms and more playful designs, with the embroidery detail adding another level of detail and finesse.

Fenwick & tilbrook paint - https://www.fenwickandtilbrook.com/

Based in Norfolk, Fenwich and & Tilbrook are a family run , independently owned, paint brand.  They have scrubbable paint, and its all low VOC.
