OUR DECOREX TOP PICKS
WE attend Decorex each year in search of fresh ideas and inspiring products, and this year’s exhibition illuminated the future of interiors in more ways than one.
Lighting stole the show for us this year at Decorex, innovative design and impressive stands meant that everywhere we looked we saw something to light up our lives!
BERT FRANK
‘Art meets engineering, design meets craft’. The perfect tagline for this iconic brand, Bert Frank are always guaranteed to design and manufacture beautiful light fittings. We loved their Beran range in brushed brass.
CATALIN FILIP
Organic melting and draping shapes, Catalin Filip transforms clay into beautiful lights and objects that take on a personality all of their own. Love them! Particularly these Melo wall lights…
BOMMA
So many stunning products on Bomma’s atmospheric stand. These lights are from the Buoy range, and we also really loved the opalescent Pebbles lights, gorgeous totems of glass shades. Lush!
SOHO LIGHTING COMPANY
Soho Lighting Company in collaboration with Stevensons of Norwich pulled an gem out of the bag with this cascade pendant adorned with plaster acanthus leaves. A personal favourite of the show.
J ADAMS AND CO
British design, British made, J Adams and Co design in London and manufactured in Birmingham. Classic style with a touch of industrial, their Strata wall lights really caught our eye.
MULLAN LIGHTING
From sputnik style pendants, bubblegum pink sculptural table lights to flowery wall lights on a green wall, Mullan pulled out the stops for their stand this year. A veritable spectacle!
And away from the bright lights that caught our eye, here’s a few other things that we couldn’t walk past…
MARGO SELBY
Fabrics, homewares, fashion, art, who wouldn’t love a punch of Margo Selby colour in their homes!
DecWOOD
Gotta love a bit of bobble beading…we certainly do! And DecWOOD’s inspired use of this green works too.
V&A INTERIORS
At Decorex to promote their brand licensing programme, V&A Interiors are ensuring that these iconic designs will live on into the future.
